 It is important to note that for both customer security and the verification of a transaction that the following information is provided at the checkout.
  • The actual cardholder's address including the house number and postcode.
  • The delivery address if different from the cardholders address.
  • In addition to the main card number the card three digit security code to be found on the back of the credit or debit card or on the face of American Express cards.

We regret that we are unlikely to process transactions where the above information is either inaccurate or omitted.

Security from 'Globecharge'. We do not download customer's card details on to our system. In fact no customer card details are held on our system at all. Once 'Globecharge' has allowed us to take a payment data, the customers card details are automatically deleted. If later additions need to be made to a customer's order, card details must be supplied again.  Card details provided on the telephone are not retained nor are they entered on our system, such data is entered directly into a secure bank terminal.

IMPORTANT
Orders to be sent to a domestic address other than the cardholder's address may be declined at our discretion.  If you have a specific reason for the use of an alternative domestic delivery address it would be helpful if you telephone your order rather than ordering on-line. Orders for delivery to a verifiable corporate office are accepted. Telephone orders to 01895 672537.

Important Notice on Credit Card Processing

Our credit card processing secure server facilities are provided by Globecharge. The actual processing is carried out on an electronic terminal which removes the risk of order duplication. Fraudulent transactions are also rare because credit/debit card detail is verified against the cardholder's postcode, house number and security code. If we have a concern as to the origins of a transaction we undertake a full name and address clearance with our card processing provider. Attempted fraudulent transactions are checked and investigated by 'CardAware'.

Terms of Business

All prices quoted exclude VAT. Most pens are dispatched "Special Delivery" at a fixed charge of £6. The delivery charge is also fixed at £6 for orders valued over £20 and £2.50 for all others. Pens and high value items are sent insured delivery. We fulfil orders within 14 days from date of receipt but most products are dispatched on day ordered. If we are out of stock we will advise you by email. 99% of the items displayed are ex stock from our own store. Large multiple pen orders with a parcel weight of over 10kg will be sent by parcel courier next day service, the delivery charge for this service is £25. Credit card transaction is completed at the point of dispatch for telephone orders and point of order for on-line orders. Special orders are billed at time of order.

Overseas customers must pay VAT (Value Added Tax) for goods shipped for delivery in the UK. Orders will have VAT added by MrPen automatically if the customer has submitted an order as an overseas customer for UK delivery.

Overseas customers who specify "Local Delivery" when the order is in fact for overseas delivery will have the additional postage charged automatically by MrPen.

Cooling Off Period - The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000

MrPen customers can cancel their order within 7 days (Applicable to non-engraved items only). The 7 day period is deemed to start the day after the customer has received the goods. No reason need be given by the customer for such a cancellation. MrPen will credit the customer credit card account or refund payment made by cheque or postal order within thirty days from the date the customer notifies MrPen of cancellation. Such credit/refund will include the original carriage charge. Such cancellation notification can be made by email, fax or post. Goods should be returned carriage/postage paid. A cost deduction may be made from the said refund if MrPen has to arrange collection outside of the 7 day period outlined above.
